Bill Introduced To Help Small Biz With Gov’t Change Orders

A bipartisan group of lawmakers on Wednesday introduced a bill intended to make sure small businesses get some payment immediately for change orders on federal contracts, saying the current change order process is unfair and particularly burdensome to small business.

GAO Deems $30M Army Corps Contract Award Unreasonable

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers should take another look at a repair and maintenance contract priced as high as $30 million, the Government Accountability Office said in a decision made public Tuesday, faulting the Corps for judging one proposal aspect too harshly and not meaningfully justifying the award.

Army Failed To Properly Track $1B In Equipment, OIG Says

The U.S. Army lacked effective controls for tracking more than $1 billion in equipment provided to the Iraqi government under a training and equipment fund meant to help in the fight against the Islamic State militant group, a watchdog said in a report made publicly available Wednesday.
